Engineer / Post-doctoral researcher: Automatic sign language production using generative AI

Catégorie : Post-doctorant

We are seeking a research engineer to join our Smart Live Prod project, which aims to develop intelligent software solutions for the production and streaming of live video content, with a focus on content accessibility in the specific domain of public plenary broadcasts.

The research engineer will primarily be responsible for researching and developing methods for the automatic generation of sign language (French and English sign language) using deep generative models. This task is crucial for enabling deaf or hard-of-hearing individuals to easily follow public plenary broadcasts by providing real-time translations into sign language and other accessible formats.

Responsibilities:

- Design and develop deep learning models for the automatic generation of sign language.

- Test and evaluate the performance of the models in real-time video streaming scenarios.

- Contribute to the writing of reports and scientific papers for publication.

Required Qualifications:

- PhD in computer science, signal/image processing, machine learning, or related field.

- Solid experiences in deep learning.

- Proficiency in common programming languages such as Python, as well as machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.

- Experiences in sign language generation and generative AI are preferred.

- Ability to work in a team and communicate research results effectively.

- Good level of written and spoken English.

- Good French language skills are highly recommended.
